iMAGIES URBAINES

The photographic series presented here, each revolving around a particular theme, illustrate the iMAGIES URBAINES in their own way.
Rhythms, colors, perspectives and reflections are the components of these images. Urban steel, glass, wood and concrete are the raw materials. The magic of another reality is revealed in these photographs, constructed like paintings with cubist and futuristic touches.
Yet these images of another reality are simply photographs of our reality: either self-sufficient in terms of the frame they are given, or with a double mirror effect, vertical and horizontal. In the end, the visual effects thus created are simply an amplification of reality and its subjective perspectives.
In a way, they are an artistic response to the standardisation of our way of life and, consequently, our way of thinking. By questioning the way we perceive the reality of our environment, iMAGIES URBAINES aims to take a critical look at our conception of urban space and the form we choose to occupy it.
